THE JOURNAL OF 1999

INTRODUCTION.

Welcome to my journal of the year 1999. Another year’s instalment of the events that transpire in my life. Whatever shall be written on these forth coming papers, only destiny will know, you and I shall only know as time takes its toll.

DAY BY DAY, MONTH BY MONTH, A STORY SHALL BE TOLD.

A story of truth, incident and accident. A story of adventure, misadventure and triumph over adversity.

A story of me:

MATTHEW DANIEL TAYLOR

SON OF RUTH

You will come to learn what make me tick, what I like to lick. You’ll learn who I love and who loves me. You’ll learn of my short-comings, you’ll learn how bad I am at spelling and hopefully you’ll find some moments of greatness that you’ll admire.

; But have patience, for that moment may take forever!

Though this journal is as much for me as it’s to you. This is my journey of Self-Discovery.

HISTORY

It all started for me during October ‘94 while in Hong Kong. On an average ‘school like text book,’ I began to put on paper my day to day adventures; I began to express myself.

This carried on into October ‘95, in my Red Journal that (Peter from the phone-shop Worthing) gave me as a going away present. This chronicled all the adventures of my Asian tour. Onto ‘96, not the greatest of journals, but it sufficed.

The ’97 Journal; I enjoyed that one. ’98 chronicled my start of an Army career. This brings me on to this, ’99. Chronicling the best year of my life; fingers crossed.

’95 – 96’ – 97 – 98 –

That’s the history, short and sweet.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You’ll, I’ll, we’ll come across the Dream Journal (DJ). An account of the previous night’s dream.

The Daily Occurrence (D.)), a brief account of what happened that day.

Though mostly you’ll come across my ramblings; What’s on my mind, what I think, what I dream, what I hate, what I like. Some poetry.

I often stick pictures into my journal, pictures of the day, pictures of history. I also include the news of the day, usually in the form of a headline.

What to expect in a nut-shell; Everything!

Monday 28 December 1998

Coming to the end of the year, a year that saw:

1.       My opinions in the paper

2.       Joining the Army; training at BASSINGBOURNE

3.       Going on an attachment to Germany

4.       Adventure week in Plymouth

5.       Adventure week in Bavaria, South Germany

6.       Police Training at CHICHESTER

7.       My mother suffering a stroke and going to hospital

8.       Emma and I, entering a new kind of relationship

It’s been a hard year, but damn I’m glad I survived; for I achieved a lot.

DAILY OCCURANCE.

Awoke in the arly afternoon at Marie’s & Hugh’s. Pretty much mopped about, relaxed in other words.

DREAM JOURNAL

Some about a Space-Ship!

I love keeping a journal, its just so satisfying, to be able to look back on the previous year’s journal and know actually what I did, what I thought, what I felt to the very day.

And my rambling, I love my ramblings. For I’m putting into words all that swims in my heart mind and soul. I love my words because when in combination, they make fantastic sentences. Sentences that’ll make history.

Sometimes I surprise myself, even surpass myself.

IMMORTALITY.

I’ve been striving to discover that manner in which a mortal becomes an immortal. A possible answer has presented it-self while watching ‘Indian Jones and the Last Crusade’.

It start with the first recognised Immortal, Jesus Christ Son of God. He passed the power of Immortality onto the second recognised Immortal Sean Connery, this was done by filling a chalice with his blood (The Holy Grail), leaving it in a safe place for 2,000 years for him to find. Something to keep in mind, his son also drunk from the grail.

So there you have it, how the modern Immortal came about. Now the question is, how does Immortality get passed on, now as the Holy Grail has been lost and emptied, to mankind?

The answer can be found in ‘the humbling before God’ routine. How can the liquid, that the second mortal drank be passed onto the third? The answer is a bit crude. But what is more humbling than to drink the urine of a representative of God. A most humbling of acts, to receive a most fantastic of gifts, THE GIFT OF IMMORTALITY.

O.K it may not make sense, but hey, its something to think about. Anyway I hope you’ve liked my second page, and hope that continuing pages are as informative as this one!
